Written on the back, "Monroe Attorney J. Norman Coon and Mrs. Maud M. Bentrup look over one of the legal books he recently donated to Sandel Library. Coon gave the library volumes 118-200 of the Southern Reporter and all volumes of the Louisiana Reporter...".
This photo was taken in Bry Hall. According to historical sources, the library located in Bry Hall was renamed Sandel Library in early 1963. This new named was then transferred to the new library building.
