ULM Institutional Repository Accessibility Statement and Accessible Content Request Form

The University of Louisiana Monroe is committed to making its digital research and archival materials accessible to all users. The ULM Institutional Repository serves as a permanent digital archive and because the repository includes decades of faculty research, historical records, and digitized physical artifacts, some materials may not meet current WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.

  • Common accessibility limitations in our historical collections include:
  • Legacy PDFs: Older documents may be image-only scans without searchable text or screen-reader tags.
  • Archival Media: Historical audio or video may lack high-quality transcripts or closed captioning.
  • Handwritten Materials: Digitized manuscripts and field notes may be difficult for assistive technologies to interpret.

Any items within the repository that do not meet current accessibility standards can be requested to be remediated through the ULM Institutional Repository Accessible Content Request Form
