The multi-company study explored the relationship of entrepreneurial strategic vision to growth. Twelve similar new venture in the craft distillery industry in a direct comparison were selected for inclusion in the study. In-depth interviews with CEO/founders were transcribed and content analysis identified visionary themes. Strategic vision clarity is strongly linked to sales growth and distribution. Growth content in visions is related to growth. Growth, craft, and investment, the directional strategic themes identifed in this study, differentially relate to growth in sales (B2C) and distribution (B2B).
